What started as a charming but modest California bungalow was completely reimagined into a stunning Spanish Mediterranean modern home. The client’s goal was clear—transform their starter home into their dream home, blending old-world character with a fresh, contemporary feel.
We reworked the façade with smooth stucco, arched openings, and a warm, earthy color palette, instantly giving the home a timeless Mediterranean presence. A new terracotta-tiled roof and custom wrought-iron details added authenticity, while modern black steel windows kept the look crisp and updated.
Inside, we opened up the floor plan, flooding the space with natural light and creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. A new chef’s kitchen became the heart of the home, featuring handcrafted tile, natural stone countertops, and warm wood accents. The primary suite was transformed into a serene retreat with a spa-like bath and private courtyard access.
Outdoor spaces were just as important—an expanded patio with a pergola, lush drought-tolerant landscaping, and a cozy fire feature turned the backyard into an extension of the home. The result? A perfect blend of Spanish charm and modern livability, tailored exactly to the client’s vision.
